General Labor - Feed Lot

Overview

This is an entry-level position that raises beef cattle and maintains a cattle ranch.

Pay Rate: $17.75-$20/hr depending on experience.

• Care and treat cattle
• General working with cattle
• Feeding cattle
• Tractor work around feedlot
• Cross-train with other departments to provide consistency throughout the Company
• Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary
• Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor

• A high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• General tractor/loader experience
• Basic operating knowledge of cattle operation

• Ability to pay attention to detail among constant distractions
• Ability to communicate concerns/problems to manager/supervisor on a professional level

• Continuously lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds; regularly lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds
• Frequently stoop/crouch/bend/climb/push/pull objects to complete the essential functions of this position
• Vision sufficient to safely perform the essential job tasks

• Continuously exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions
• Regularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment
• Regularly exposed to major amounts of dust
• Regularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels
