Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Assembly, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician II, you will use a hands‑on approach to perform assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high‑quality industrial machinery in a manufacturing facility. This individual must be able to complete work accurately, meet project milestone dates, and have effective communication skills.
Requirements- Read and follow mechanical assembly drawings and schematics, layout drawings and bills of material.
- Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.
- Under direction, may perform some basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
- Understand and meet company quality standards and objectives to fulfill customers’ needs.
- Minimum 3‑4 years of mechanical/maintenance experience, preferably in assembly.
- Experience working with mechanical assembly projects desired.
- Maintenance experience in Auto/Diesel, Mechanical Service, and/or Fabrication desired.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Blueprint and mechanical schematic reading capabilities.
- Ability to perform job duties that may require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and working in cramped spaces.
- Ability to lift light and heavy weight supplies and materials up to 40 pounds.
- Reliability and punctuality are required.
Base Salary Range: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Total compensation includes your pay, potential short‑term incentive opportunities, comprehensive medical/dental/vision programs, as well as life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off programs, a retirement savings plan with a company match, and a wellness program. There is no waiting period for benefits – you are eligible on your first day of employment.
