Position: Registered Nurse-ICCU-15

Overview

Qualifications
  • CA RN license required
  • BLS ACLS required within one year of hire or transfer
  • Preferred education:

    BSN, MSN, or enrollment in an RN‑BSN program
Responsibilities
  • Practice guided by the Code of Ethics and professional behavior standards
  • Identify high‑risk patients and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and act as patient advocate
  • Deliver nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory care preserving patient autonomy
  • Apply the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) documented through observation, peer review, and audits
  • Use quality‑of‑care data to initiate practice changes and recommend improvements
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and practice guidelines
  • Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical practice and health services
  • Engage in quality improvement studies, implement findings, and share results
  • Collaborate and communicate with patients, families, and other health‑care providers
  • Monitor documentation for appropriate referrals and formulate care plans involving patients
  • Make referrals and manage continuity of care as needed
Team Leader Responsibilities
  • Primary clinical resource for staff and role model/mentor
  • Represent Nurse Manager in absence, provide leadership and support
  • Support staff during orientation, preceptor activities, and evaluations
  • Manage staff assignments, shift reports, breaks, and staffing needs
  • Coordinate staffing and resource utilization, ensuring equipment checks are completed
  • Coordinate care in high‑risk/emergent situations and communicate critical information to leadership
  • Ensure collaboration among staff, physicians, and departments; maintain open communication lines
  • Document and report patient care issues; ensure proper nurse completion of Statements of Concern
  • Provide employee guidance and notify leadership of counseling needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Pay Range: $46.44 – $69.66 per hour.
