LVN-Skilled Nursing

Overview

Kaweah Health is a publicly owned, community healthcare organization serving the Visalia area in central California. With more than 5,000 employees, we provide a comprehensive continuum of care across our eight campuses.

Night – 12 hour shift (United States of America). This role is full‑time and eligible for full‑time benefits.

• Conduct basic assessment and observe patients, chart and report changes in condition.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and perform point of care testing.
• Deliver basic patient care, assist with activities of daily living and mobility, administer medications or start intravenous fluids, blood products, skin tests, and vaccinations.
• Plan, execute interventions per treatment plan, and contribute to evaluation of nursing intervention outcomes.
• Collaborate and communicate with patients/residents, families, and other health care team members.
• Act as an advocate under RN direction, make referrals, and contribute to policy development and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy and provide non‑judgmental, nondiscriminatory care.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the unit or work area and effectively communicate to patients and families.

• License / Certification
  
  Required:
  
  CA Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Intravenous Therapy certification
• Blood withdrawal certification within six months of hire/transfer
• Preferred:
  Experience in skilled nursing or acute rehabilitation settings
• For Subacute:
  Six months of experience within the past two years in a general acute care facility, or equivalent experience appropriate to the subacute patient population.

$30.17 – $45.26 per hour.
