Pinnacle Premix provides premixing, manufacturing, and distribution of formulated products to every sector of the feed industry. Our Visalia location is locally managed and manufactures premix for feed and pet food.
About the role:This is a hands‑on QA Technician role based in Visalia, CA. Candidates must be local or within commuting distance; priority will be given to those residing in or near Visalia, CA.
In this role, you’ll support production, perform process checks and quality inspections, assist with internal audits, and work closely with the QA Manager, production, warehouse, and scheduling teams. This is a floor-facing, hands‑on position with room to grow as the team evolves.
- Complete and comply with HACCP procedures, current manufacturing practices (cGMPs), and pest management.
- Complete and oversee departmental documentation and ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Keep in contact with the QA manager regarding any discrepancies on production and warehouse floors and with ingredients and finished products.
- Responsible for performing verification and validation activities in compliance with 3rd party food safety certifications and state/federal regulations.
- Perform process checks throughout ingredient batching, production, packaging, warehousing, and distribution areas of the company.
- Perform quality inspections of raw materials and finished products.
- Monitor and maintain production paperwork and daily production batch yields.
- Assist the quality assurance manager with internal audits assuring conformance with 3rd party food safety certifications and state/federal compliance.
- Maintain quality assurance spreadsheets, databases, and forms to keep accurate records and track data.
- Provide or assist in routine employee training and maintain employee training records.
- Assist purchasing and quality assurance with the approved ingredient program by inspecting ingredient samples and packaging.
- Assist the quality assurance team with sending out ingredient samples for new approvals, customer concerns, and quarterly testing.
- Assist quality assurance manager with root cause analysis and corrective actions associated with customer and supplier complaints and internal non-conformances.
- Work in concert with formulations and production scheduler to rework QA hold product, maintaining accurate inventory records. This involves consistent communication between QA, formulations, and the production scheduler.
- Work in concert with the quality assurance manager, accounting team, and warehouse team to dispose of non-conforming ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor and maintain pest control records.
