• Manage and merchandise the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Order and manage inventory controls, product quality.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one-on-one development discussions; recommend merit increases via the bi-annual performance review process.
• Regularly attend and participate in in‑store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Confidently exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns.
• Take and document corrective actions when needed, including collaboration with business and HR partners in managing performance, coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination.
• Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Manage product orders, receiving, and storage.
• Operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure execution of all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations; validate that other deli team members are aware of and following these procedures.
• Track weekly sales reports and order products and supplies to meet customer requirements and the company’s gross profit goals.
• Work closely with the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Assistant Deli Manager to ensure store and department success through excellent customer service and a passion for food.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

• Be at least 18 years of age with 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of deli department experience; or an acceptable combination of experience.
• Must work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward Team Members and customers.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to give direction in a team environment.
• Have a strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Have strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and ensure all federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met.
• Lift/carry product up to 70 lbs. from 4” to 60” for distances up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Stand continuously for up to 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift.
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; maintain all equipment in safe working condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $20.15 – $32.25 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
