Job Overview

They ensure a quick and easy customer experience, keep the store clean, and may work across different areas such as sales, customer service, stock, and fulfillment.

• Keep the sales floor runway ready by re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers at the cashier, handling transactions across in‑store, online, and mobile platforms; operate point‑of‑sale systems, bag items, and manage bulky or heavy items up to 25 pounds.
• Create a smooth fitting‑room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the floor.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in, accurately ticketed, and vice versa.
• Operate all store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset‑protection standards.
• Promote Nordstrom Rewards and other store initiatives.
• Unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner, following quality, packing and shipping standards.
• Scan, process and research merchandise shipments using inventory management systems.
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms; support special events, markdowns, and fixture relocations.

• Work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handle bulky or awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Stock and fulfillment roles may require lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

$17.50 - $18.20 per hour
