O/N Merchandising Lead – New Club Opening (Visalia, CA)

We are opening a brand-new Sam’s Club in Visalia, California. This hands-on leadership role helps launch and shape the new location from day one. Ideal candidates are member obsessed, operate with purpose, and enjoy developing teams to reach their full potential.

• Lead and supervise overnight associates, assign work, set priorities, and ensure clear expectations.
• Provide real-time coaching, communicate goals, and drive effective execution.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance development.
• Collaborate with club leadership to transition from overnight to daytime operations.
• Ensure shelves are stocked, merchandise is zoned, and the club is clean, safe, and ready for members each morning.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, including stocking, signing, pricing, and display execution.
• Identify and address shrink, damages, and high-risk product areas.
• Assist with inventory and merchandising execution, including receiving from distribution centers and vendors, completing required paperwork, and sanitation standards.
• Oversee club pickup order picking and staging for accuracy and readiness.
• Promote safety and compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Utilize handheld technology and other tools to manage tasks, inventory, and workflow.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum: 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
• Preferred: experience leading a team, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload.

Position offers competitive pay; wage range is $24.00 – $32.00 per hour. Schedule may vary. Eligible benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and additional programs as applicable. The hourly rate will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage requirements. Specific benefits and eligibility are subject to plan terms and location.
