Description

Field Technician (Mechanic) ’re building the future of construction by empowering contractors with innovative technology and real‑time support.

Salary range: $19.50–$42/hr (depending on experience and location).

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime after 40 hours and on‑call scheduling when needed.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Use our technology platform to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; diagnose issues; determine root causes and corrective action quickly.
  • Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
  • Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
  • Use a high degree of independent judgment when troubleshooting and repairing.
  • Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner.
  • Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred).
Travel & Vehicle
  • When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer‑owned equipment.
  • Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
Training & Other Duties
  • Year‑round company‑provided OEM training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma; trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Field technicians may be required to be clean‑shaven to enter work sites for customers who have this requirement.
