Job Summary
Safely operates a heavy‑duty truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT and all local, state and federal requirements, and company fleet expectations.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the standard DVIR and note all issues for corrective review/repair.
- Report any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Participate in all scheduled training, briefings and meetings as required by Route Manager.
- Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problems or unsafe conditions.
- Assist other company drivers as directed and perform duties scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Dispatch or Route Manager of issues such as blocked containers, potential missed pick‑ups, or other problems on the route.
- Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
- Completely dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
- Position containers on customer property so that lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position and do not block driveways or traffic.
- Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.
Required:
- At least 1 year experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or, equivalently, 1 year of military driving within the last 7 years.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) at the time of hire.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, and in the U.S. must be 21 years of age as required for CDL.
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs and complete records or reports.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

Expected base pay range is $22.92 per hour. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors such as relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications and work location.
