Build Something From the Ground Up
Portmantos is launching a new warehouse operation in California and is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to help build, scale, and run the operation from day one.
This is not a “sit behind a desk” role - you will be on the floor, setting up processes, building the team, and creating a high-performance warehouse from scratch.

What You'll Do (Startup Enviornment)- Lead initial warehouse setup (layout, workflows, processes)
- Build receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping operations
- Hire, train, and develop warehouse team
- Establish KPIs and productivity standards
- Implement SOPs and improve continuously
- Set up ERP/WMH systems
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and Cal/OSHA (IIPP)
- Create a strong safety-first culture
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams
- 3-7+ years warehouse management experience
- Startup or build-out experience preferred
- Ability to build processes and teams from scratch
- Hands-on leadership style
- Inventory control and fulfillment expertise
- ERP/WMS experience
- Knowledge of shipping/logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA safety compliance
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
