Staff Accountant

Description

A well-established consumer products company is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

This role offers broad exposure to accounting operations and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced leadership team. The organization is looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership of their work.

Responsibilities

General Accounting

+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close

+ Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

+ Support accounts payable and receivable functions

+ Analyze financial transactions and investigate variances

+ Maintain general ledger accuracy

Reporting & Compliance

+ Prepare monthly financial reports

+ Support annual audits and tax preparation

+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting initiatives

+ Maintain supporting accounting documentation

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

+ 2+ years of accounting experience

+ Strong Excel skills required

+

Experience with Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, or similar ERP systems

+ Strong analytical and organizational abilities
