Accounting Clerk

Description

A busy distribution company in Vista is looking for an Accounting Clerk to provide support across the accounting department. This is a great lower-level opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of accounting, AP, AR, billing, or administrative experience who wants to continue building their accounting skill set.

You'll work with invoices, payments, account records, reconciliations, and general accounting documentation while learning how the different pieces of the accounting department connect.

Responsibilities

+ Enter invoices and accounting transactions

+ Assist with AP and AR processing

+ Review invoices for accuracy and appropriate coding

+ Maintain vendor and customer records

+ Assist with payment posting

+ Research account discrepancies

+ Perform basic account reconciliations

+ Prepare daily and weekly accounting reports

+ Maintain organized financial documentation

+ Assist with credit card and expense reconciliation

+ Support month-end close activities

+ Assist with filing and audit documentation

+ Communicate with internal departments regarding missing information

+ Provide general accounting support to the Finance team

Requirements

+ 1+ year of accounting, AP, AR, billing, or bookkeeping experience

+ Basic understanding of accounting principles

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Comfortable working with numbers

+ Microsoft Excel proficiency

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Ability to meet recurring deadlines

+ Quick Books or ERP experience preferred

+ Distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale experience is a plus
