Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

A North County manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day accounting and help maintain clean, accurate financial records. This is a hands-on role with visibility across accounting, operations, purchasing, and inventory.

The ideal candidate is someone who can walk into an established accounting environment, understand how transactions flow through the business, and confidently take ownership of the books.

What You'll Own:

+ Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities

+ Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules

+ Process AP and AR transactions

+ Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts

+ Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close

+ Review inventory-related accounting activity

+ Track manufacturing expenses and operational costs

+ Assist with inventory reconciliations

+ Review purchasing and vendor transactions

+ Monitor customer balances and incoming payments

+ Prepare monthly financial reports

+ Analyze unusual account activity and investigate discrepancies

+ Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules

+ Assist with payroll accounting and expense reporting

+ Prepare supporting documentation for external accountants and auditors

+ Help improve accounting processes and internal controls

Requirements

+ 4+ years of progressive bookkeeping/accounting experience

+ Full-cycle bookkeeping experience required

+ Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting

+

Experience with reconciliations and month-end close

+ Strong Excel skills

+ ERP/accounting software experience

+ Excellent attention to detail

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
