Cannettic Energy is looking for an imaginative, energetic, and organized Dynamic Art Teacher to lead a fun and inspiring after-school art class for students in grades 3–6.
Dynamic Art is where imagination meets innovation! Students explore techniques such as color theory, drawing, shading, painting, collage, mixed media, and music-inspired art while developing their own unique artistic voices.
We are looking for a teacher who brings fresh ideas, creative energy, and genuine excitement into the classroom. The teacher will take ownership of developing engaging weekly lesson plans and guiding students through projects that are age-appropriate, achievable, and inspiring.
Students should learn real artistic techniques while still having the freedom to make creative choices. We want every child to feel proud of what they create—even when their masterpiece takes a delightfully unexpected turn!
About Dynamic ArtDynamic Art combines guided instruction with imaginative self-expression. Students learn foundational art concepts, experiment with different materials, and discover new ways to communicate ideas through art.
Projects may include:
- Color theory and color-mixing activities
- Drawing, sketching, and shading techniques
- Painting and watercolor exploration
- Collage and mixed-media artwork
- Texture, pattern, line, shape, and composition
- Music-inspired painting
- Artist-inspired projects
- Collaborative art activities
- Projects that encourage storytelling and personal expression
Lessons should be more than quick filler activities. Each project should have a clear creative purpose, an artistic skill or concept, and enough freedom for students’ finished artwork to reflect their individual personalities.
Creative OwnershipThe Dynamic Art Teacher is responsible for developing the weekly curriculum and lesson plans.
Each lesson plan should include:
- The artistic skill, technique, or concept being introduced
- An age-appropriate project with clear learning goals
- A complete materials and supply list
- A visual example or teacher demonstration
- Simple, organized, step-by-step instructions
- Opportunities for students to make individual creative choices
- A realistic plan for completing or safely storing the project
- Setup, cleanup, and supply-organization needs
Material requests must be communicated to Cannettic Energy in advance so approved supplies can be prepared or purchased before class. The teacher should never arrive without knowing exactly what students will create and how the lesson will flow from beginning to cleanup.

- Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, concepts, and materials
- Prepare a clear visual example or demonstration for each project
- Explain and demonstrate projects using concise, step-by-step instructions
- Encourage individual creativity instead of requiring every project to look identical
- Support beginners while providing additional creative challenges for experienced students
- Help students develop confidence in their artistic choices and abilities
- Create an environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and learning from mistakes
- Maintain positive classroom management for approximately 12–20 students
- Use a consistent attention cue and establish clear expectations for using materials
- Actively circulate during class to provide encouragement, guidance, and specific feedback
- Make sure every student receives meaningful instruction and support
