Teacher Deaf and Hard of Hearing; TDHH Vista, California

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing specialized instruction as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity is designed for dedicated educators who are passionate about supporting children with varying hearing abilities, enabling them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve academic success.

• Valid teaching credential with a specialization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Proven experience in instructing students with hearing impairments in school settings
• Strong knowledge of auditory/oral, total communication, and American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to conduct and interpret audiological and educational assessments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and support staff
• Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adaptability in working with students ranging from preschool to high school

• Design and deliver individualized and group instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Modify curriculum and classroom materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support personnel to promote inclusion
• Provide consultative support and training to educational staff and families
• Monitor student progress and revise instructional strategies accordingly
• Advocate for accessibility and equal participation in all school activities

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.71 to $57.71.
