• Demonstrated experience as an Assistive Technology Specialist, particularly within educational settings
• Certification or significant training as a Braillist, with strong braille literacy skills
• Familiarity with a wide range of adaptive tools and software for individuals with visual impairments
• Ability to develop, adapt, and modify instructional materials, including tactile graphics and accessible formats
• Effective communication for consulting with staff and supporting student learning
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to inclusion and student advocacy

• Assess students' needs regarding assistive technology and braille resources
• Implement and support the use of adaptive equipment and software in the classroom
• Produce and adapt curriculum content in braille and accessible formats
• Train students and staff in the effective use of assistive technology and braille materials
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and provide recommendations for further support
