The Spanish Teacher at Sanderling Waldorf School is responsible for delivering a living, artistically rich Spanish language program that nurtures the whole child — head, heart, and hands — in alignment with Waldorf pedagogical principles. The teacher brings warmth, cultural enthusiasm, and imaginative creativity to every lesson, fostering a genuine love of language in students from Grades 1 through 8. The Spanish Teacher works collaboratively within the faculty body, participates in the life of the school, and maintains a consistent, joyful, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

The Spanish Teacher is expected to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Spanish language lessons across all assigned grades. Instruction should integrate oral fluency, cultural awareness, artistic elements such as songs, verses, movement, and storytelling, and a clear developmental progression from Grade 1 through Grade 8. The teacher is responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating proactively with parents and colleagues regarding student needs.

• Waldorf teaching experience or training is preferred but not required
• Native Spanish speaker preferred; fluency is required
• Experience teaching or working with children, preferably in a school setting
• Ability to develop engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Grades 1–8
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Interest in Waldorf education and a willingness to work collaboratively with faculty
