Tom Sawyer Fence Painting is hiring an experienced Lead Painter / Crew Lead to take ownership of jobs from start to finish in the San Diego area. This is not an entry-level position — we're looking for a seasoned professional who can lead a painting crew, manage job sites, maintain quality control, and help grow the business.

As our Lead Painter / Crew Lead, you'll be the point person on every job you run. You are responsible for managing your crew on-site, ensuring top-quality work, keeping projects on schedule and on budget, and serving as the face of Tom Sawyer Fence Painting to our customers.

This is a leadership position first and foremost. You'll train and mentor team members, delegate tasks effectively, problem-solve on the fly, and hold your crew to a high standard of workmanship.

Beyond the job site, we need someone who can support the sales side — meeting with prospective clients, walking properties, providing accurate estimates, and helping close deals.

• Lead, manage, and motivate a painting crew daily
• - Oversee job sites from prep through final walk-through
• - Schedule and coordinate crew, materials, and equipment
• - Train and develop less experienced painters
• - Communicate with customers on-site
• - Walk job sites with prospective clients and provide estimates
• - Identify upsell opportunities
• - Maintain equipment and manage material inventory
• - Report job progress, crew hours, and material usage

• Proven painting experience (extensive, hands-on)
• - Crew leadership experience (demonstrated history)
• - Expert knowledge of surface prep, primers, coatings, application techniques
• - Sales and customer relations skills
• - Problem-solver and self-starter
• - Must have own truck and sprayer
• - 2-3 professional references required

Wood, Metal, Iron, Vinyl, Concrete, Professional Staining

$6,000/month base salary + commissions up to $6,000/month = up to $12,000/month total earning potential.
