Process Engineer Fading West Development

A process engineer brings major value to the organization by developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. This role works closely with production staff as well as the engineering team to ensure that product plans are translated efficiently and accurately to our manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Collect production data and apply standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
• Assist in development of standard operating procedures.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy, feasibility, constructability, and efficiency.
• Identify process bottlenecks and apply continuous improvement methods, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical expertise in the field of construction and manufacturing support related to manufacturing.
• Recommend changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy, and raw materials.
• Assist in the design, installation, or troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
• Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs or operational plans.
• Work collaboratively with all levels of Fading West Team (IE production staff, supervisors, factory leadership, company leadership, etc.).
• Coordinate and inform non-standard and new production work and processes.

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of written communication.
• Extremely high level of attention to detail.
• 2+ years of experience in related field.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering field preferred but not required.
• Construction background experience preferred.
• Manufacturing background experience preferred.

• Occasional travel to construction sites
• This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-compete and non-disclosure agreement.
• Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
• Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
• May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be competent and comfortable in advanced computer skills and navigating modern technology.

Rate Range: $70,000 to $90,000 per/year (Rate commensurate with experience).

four-day work week (depending on need M-TH or Tues - Fri) Fading West rigorously adheres to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-201(1)
