POSITIONSUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Deburr Technician for the 2nd shift. The role involves finishing high‑quality detail parts using hand tools. Under supervision, the technician will learn to blend mismatches and create edge breaks to meet customer specifications, functioning as a productive, contributing, and responsible team member.
Pay Range: $20–$22 per hour, DOE. Shift Differential: $1.00.
Schedule:
2:00pm – 10:30pm.
- Review planning/engineering, work instructions and tooling to verify appropriate work process and quality requirements before starting the job.
- Use hand tools and small power tools to safely remove burrs and create edge breaks.
- Inspect part dimensions to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications and identify any quality issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements.
- Use measuring equipment such as gauges, scales, calipers, etc.
- Complete all job order documentation and associated paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including part counts and tie‑in information.
- Participate in Team‑Based Corrective Action processes to resolve quality and safety issues.
- Work with team members using Lean/Continuous Improvement processes to develop and implement process improvements that reduce waste, safety risks and improve quality.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervision or management, including assisting with non‑production plant and administrative tasks.
- Hand work operations: final product hand finishing, checking and straightening flat pattern deburring and tab trimming.
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Candidates without a high school diploma or equivalency must take a pre‑employment assessment to be considered. At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to use basic hand tools and to apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
- Required to wear PPE when working on the manufacturing floor, including eye, ear, and foot protection.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10–50 pounds.
- Must meet physical requirements for wearing respirators, including pulmonary function tests, respirator fit tests, and other medical evaluations.
