The Manufacturing Technician I supports biologics manufacturing operations within a cGMP-regulated environment. This role is responsible for equipment setup, cleaning, process support, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment in a biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Perform detailed cleaning of equipment and facilities in accordance with cGMP standards to prevent contamination
- Support bulk processing and filtration activities, including monitoring process parameters such as pH, weights, and separation
- Maintain accurate, real‑time production documentation and logs in compliance with standard procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines, departmental procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to meet bioburden control standards
- Complete required technical training and adhere to company policies
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, or GMP/cGMP environments preferred
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with documentation systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Basic math skills with proficiency in the metric system
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Work Requirements:
- Ability to work in a cleanroom/sanitized manufacturing environment with required gowning
- Ability to lift and/or push up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending as required
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, based on operational needs
