Job Title:

Hand Finisher (Sheet Metal)

Join our team as a Hand Finisher, where you'll be responsible for the finishing of various fabricated sheet metal parts. This role involves duties such as deburring, grinding, and polishing to precise specifications using hand‑held sheet metal finishing tools.

• Deburr, grind, and polish fabricated sheet metal parts.
• Use hand‑held sheet metal finishing tools effectively.
• Meet specified finishing standards and quality requirements.

• Experience with hand‑held/power tools such as power hand grinders, power sanders, and hand files.
• 6+ months of general mechanical experience.
• Strong hand/eye coordination.
• Good math and reading skills to learn precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and read blueprints, dimensional diagrams, or work travelers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

• Experience with grinding, deburring, and finishing of sheet metal parts is a bonus but not required.

We offer a dynamic work environment in a medium‑sized sheet metal fabrication shop owned by a contract electronics manufacturer. Our plant manager maintains a relaxed atmosphere as long as the work is completed, allowing you to enjoy personal music devices while working.

You will work in a large production building with a mix of very old and newly purchased equipment. The environment is industrial and may be dirty, and the role involves heavy lifting and laborious work.

This is a Contract position based out of Vista, California.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
