Through-Hole Solder Assembler
The Through-Hole Solder Assembler assembles electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole soldering techniques. In this entry-level role, you follow detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines to produce reliable, high-quality electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities- Perform through-hole soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) in accordance with established standards.
- Assemble electronic sub-assemblies and finished products by following detailed work instructions and documentation.
- Identify and verify electronic components using part numbers, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Inspect solder joints for quality, alignment, and workmanship, ensuring they meet IPC and internal quality standards.
- Use hand tools such as soldering irons, cutters, and pliers safely and effectively during assembly operations.
- Follow IPC workmanship standards and internal quality procedures throughout the assembly process.
- Document completed work accurately and report defects, nonconformances, or issues to production leads or supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to support efficient and safe operations.
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for electronic components and equipment.
- Support production goals by meeting productivity targets and assisting with other assembly or related tasks as needed.
- Basic experience with through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards.
- Experience working with small parts assembly in an electronics or similar environment.
- Ability to interpret and follow work instructions and blueprints accurately.
- Ability to read and understand basic wiring information and schematic representations.
- Basic electronic assembly skills, including handling and placing components on PCBs.
- Ability to work with hand tools such as soldering irons, cutters, and pliers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic assembly processes and terminology.
- Comfort working with detailed documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and written instructions.
- Attention to detail and focus on producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.
- Willingness to follow IPC workmanship standards and internal quality procedures.
- Ability to communicate issues clearly and collaborate with leads, supervisors, and team members.

WorkEnvironment
This position is on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You work in an electronics production environment focused on printed circuit board and small-parts assembly. Daily work involves using soldering irons, cutters, pliers, and other basic hand tools at a workstation designed for electronic assembly. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and quality standards, with a structured, routine schedule that provides predictable hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
