Position SummaryThe assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging orthopedic braces and support devices used for broken, sprained, or injured bones and body parts. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble orthopedic braces, splints, and support devices according to work instructions and specifications
Cut, fit, and attach materials such as straps, padding, hinges, fasteners, and metal or plastic components
Operate hand tools, small power tools, and light assembly equipment as needed
Inspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Identify and report defects or inconsistencies to supervisors
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Package finished products for shipment following company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines, including medical device manufacturing standards
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred (medical device experience a plus)
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds as needed
Manufacturing or production floor setting
Repetitive hand movements
May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
