This role willbe within our Manufacturing Engineering team,reporting to the Production Engineering Manager. You willsupporttheday to day manufacturing and mechanical/electrical assembly of our innovative energy storage machines across multiple concurrent projects and provide the communications link to and from the Engineering team and the Operations team, so that products can be manufactured in practice from the designs provided.
Role & Responsibilities- Implement the controls necessary to ensure that engineering drawingsanditsrequirementsare converted to documented build processes for use by the manufacturing team
- Manage/create/control all production documentation including product build instructions, process FMEAandmanagement of engineering design changes into manufacturing environment
- Produce method statements and risk assessments in line with H&S requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, productivity, costand production efficiency.
- Define, implement and track manufacturing activities, supporting production readiness, processoptimisationand capacity improvements
- Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing personnel, resolving mechanical,electrical and process-related issues through collaboration with Engineering and R&D.
- Act as a key interface between Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Project Management teams to ensure successful product delivery.
