Job Title:
Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $30-$33 an/hr DOE
Schedule: 2nd shift starting at 12pm.
Must be flexible for off-shift and weekend work
Location: Vista, CA

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills and can quickly diagnose equipment issues to keep production running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Diagnose equipment problems using schematics, manuals, and testing equipment
- Work with single- and three-phase electrical systems, AC/DC, high and low voltage
- Maintain and troubleshoot boilers and food processing equipment
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions
- Set up, break down, clean, lubricate, and modify production equipment
- Complete work orders and document maintenance activities
- Perform basic facility repairs, including plumbing, drains, lighting, and general upkeep
- Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized condition
- Follow OSHA, safety, GMP, and food safety requirements
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Industrial electrical experience
- Experience with boilers
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Food manufacturing/processing experience preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, SQF, or similar food safety programs preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with computerized maintenance/work order systems preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform manual labor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, and wet environments
