Starting Wage$78,245 to $89,000 depending on experience
LocationOn-site position in Vista, CA.
Schedule6:30 AM to 3:10 PM
Responsibilities:- Prepares, organizes, and handles shipping of all distributor purchase orders in accordance with shipment dates, content of orders, and the proper packaging of all shipments.
- Initiates and responds to telephone calls and other contacts regarding shipping, receiving and customer questions pertaining to shipments.
- Orders of materials required for shipping operations, including labels, general supplies, and equipment, in coordination with the Senior Shipping & Fulfillment Manager to ensure efficient workflow and interrupted operations.
- Ensures all international and domestic orders follow all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). daily shipping deadlines and relocates shipping personnel to various teams, based on departmental needs.
- Ensures the warehouse is kept clean; storage bins and other apparatuses are secure and free from safety hazards, and that operations are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with Company safety practices.
- Follows evening closure and employee departures, closes and locks down the warehouse, sets door alarms, and submits all daily shipping documents to the business office for invoicing and/or other order processing.
- Works with Production to ensure they are aware of product inventory and shipping needs for the week. Adds orders to the Short List to keep the team aware of products that are low in stock/out of stock.
- Monitors and assist Shipping personnel to ensure productivity and completion of work assignments.
- Manages the proper storage of materials received in coordination with the Receiving Department.
- Ensures that the team follows the proper QC (Quality Control) protocols.
- Partners with Shipping staff to renew their certifications on all shipping-related equipment/machinery including, but not limited to, Forklift and Pallet Jack.
- Acts as a backup to the Shipping and Fulfillment Coordinator by communicating with domestic carriers on daily shipping needs.
- Acts as point of contact to answer any questions about Shipping orders, processes, procedures, etc.
- Assists the Senior Shipping & Fulfillment Manager in conducting annual Performance Reviews for all Shipping personnel.
- Participates in the hiring process for all Shipping personnel.
- Works weekends as necessary, based on Production and Shipping needs.
- Follows and enforces company safety procedures in accordance with Company guidelines, ensuring compliance with standards established by the Safety and Security Department.

Minimum:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of related experience with supervising and supporting oversight of warehousing operations.
