The Nurse Midwife is a full-time, on-site role based in Voorhees, NJ, providing comprehensive, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, conducting routine gynecologic visits, and supporting patients through labor and birth. The Nurse Midwife will perform detailed patient assessments, provide evidence-based education on family planning and reproductive health, and coordinate care plans that prioritize safety and comfort.
Additional responsibilities include documenting clinical encounters, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented practice culture.
- Demonstrated expertise in midwifery, including comprehensive care across the maternity continuum
- Strong background in nursing practice with the ability to provide safe, compassionate clinical care
- Knowledge of medicine relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, and women’s health
- Experience supporting patients with family planning, contraceptive counseling, and reproductive health education
- Current Nurse Midwife certification (e.g., CNM) and active RN license in New Jersey, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience in outpatient Ob Gyn or hospital-based maternity care preferred
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to equitable, inclusive care for patients of all backgrounds and identities
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
