Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel position requiring Level III NICU experience, including micro preemie and high-frequency ventilation skills, in a couplet care environment.

• Active RN license in NJ or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• 2–3 years of NICU experience required
• Level III NICU experience required
• Experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation required
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• Hospital-based NICU setting practicing couplet care, with a Stork RN present on each shift
• Level III NICU patient population, including micro preemies requiring high-frequency ventilation
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not allowed
• Floating required within a network of up to 5 hospitals based on unit needs and within skillset
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• Provide neonatal intensive care nursing within a couplet care model
• Coverage required for one winter holiday and one summer holiday
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a local pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; requests submitted after will not be accepted
• First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
