What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

* Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal standards while handling security-related situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

* Support access control activities by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

* 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.

* An armed guard card/license is required.

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* A New Jersey RPO Certificate is required.

* Access control/badge experience is preferred.

* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
