Journeyman Electrician
This role offers a longer-term opportunity for an experienced or developing electrician to support a large commercial/industrial project in Wabash, IN. You will install and run rigid and EMT conduit, wiring, and related electrical systems, often working at heights using ladders or scissor lifts. The position currently offers 40–50 hours per week, with the potential to extend beyond six months depending on project needs and performance.
Responsibilities- Install, run, and secure rigid and EMT conduit for commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring according to project specifications and applicable codes.
- Install light fixtures, cable, and related electrical components in an industrial environment.
- Use ladders, scissor lifts, and other access equipment to perform work safely at heights.
- Perform conduit bending and pipe bending using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and follow instructions from supervisors and project documentation to complete assigned tasks.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete daily tasks.
- Assist with general labor and construction-related tasks as needed to support project progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with site safety requirements.
- Collaborate with other electricians and trades on-site to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Industrial electrician background with experience working in commercial or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience installing and working with rigid conduit and EMT conduit.
- Proficiency in conduit bending and pipe bending for various installations.
- Experience running and installing electrical wiring, including cable and light fixtures.
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at heights using ladders and scissor lifts.
- Competence using hand tools and power tools for electrical and construction tasks.
- Capability to perform general labor and construction-related work as part of daily duties.
- Willingness to work 40–50 hours per week based on project requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience on large industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Exposure to installation work in industrial facilities or similar settings.
- Ability to adapt to varying levels of responsibility from entry-level to journeyman-level tasks.
- Strong attention to safety practices and site procedures.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based on a large industrial project in Wabash, IN, currently operating around 40–50 hours per week. Work takes place in an active construction environment that involves commercial and industrial electrical installations. You will frequently work at heights using ladders and scissor lifts and handle rigid and EMT conduit, wiring, and related materials. The site provides access to hand tools and power tools needed for the job.
The environment is fast-paced and project-driven, with multiple tasks and phases progressing at the same time.
This is a Contract position based out of Wabash, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
