Hours: Mon-Fri 10a-6p flex (40/hrs.)

Starting Pay:$20.09/hr.

Pathfinder seeks a Group Home Manager to help run and support group homes for people with disabilities. In this job, you will ensure the people we support are safe, happy, and able to make their own choices. You will also help teach and support staff who work in the homes.

As a Group Home Manager at Pathfinder, You Will:
Help People Have Good Lives
  • Make sure each person’s support plan is followed every day.
  • Help people learn new skills and be part of their community.
  • Make sure people are safe, healthy, and treated with respect.
  • Help people attend appointments, take medicine correctly, and do fun activities.
Help Staff Do a Great Job
  • Train staff on how to help people the right way.
  • Make work schedules so there are always enough staff at each home.
  • Hold staff meetings to share updates and ideas.
  • Fill in and help in the homes if needed.
Keep Things Organized
  • Write down important information about each person’s day, goals, and how they are doing.
  • Make sure all paperwork is done correctly and on time.
  • Keep track of home repairs and help ensure the home stays safe and clean.
  • Work with nurses, case managers, and families to ensure everyone is updated.
Be Part of the Team
  • Attend meetings about the people we support.
  • Talk with family members and answer questions they may have.
  • Help people handle their money, buy things they need, and plan for the future.
  • Be on-call sometimes to help with emergencies or fill in if someone is sick.

Requirements Preferred

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
  • Prefer 2 years experience in the field of Human Services.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
  • Crisis prevention, intervention, and teaching skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to speak, read, and hear the English language.
  • Essential physical skills: be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance.
