Overview

The project coordinator will act as liaison between the customer, sales and estimating teams, and operations for job coordination and planning throughout the duration of the project.

Scope

The project coordinator will be responsible for assisting our customers and the estimating, sales, operations, and project management teams with administrative tasks associated with projects. Other responsibilities include office duties in the form of billing, customer-facing and administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

Estimator/Project/Sales Team Support

  • Support the project manager in gathering equipment, resources, and information to implement upcoming projects
  • Utilize project coordinator checklist to ensure all tasks are completed on time
  • Maintain and prepare all correspondence (written and electronic) and project documentation, ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
  • Acts as a medium between the customer and dispatch to set starting and milestone dates for projects
  • Ensure that client’s needs are met as projects evolve
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met per city specifications
  • When time allows, assist outside sales team with administrative tasks

Office Support

  • Send out TXDOT paperwork
  • Review Lucky Stripes invoices for accuracy
  • Greet and help walk-in customers
  • Billing
  • Filing
  • Answer phones
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of Traffic Control products and services.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a must!
  • Knowledge and understanding of blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Efficient and effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers via telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe preferred.
Education And Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Control Industry preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary – primarily sits at desk for majority of the day.
  • Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to move about inside office space to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine or printer.
  • Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, using measurement devices, and visual inspection of work to ensure accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
