What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking an Administrative Associate in the Law School Student Success Center. As the Administrative Associate for the Student Success Center, this person will provide administrative support to the Student Success Center team, assist with Professional Development and Student Success Center events, and assist with fostering a welcoming environment for all Student Success Center guests.
A high school diploma and one year of relevant work experience are required. An Associate’s degree and three years relevant work experience are preferred. Additional education or experience may be considered in lieu of one another.
Skills and Qualifications- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Canva, or Adobe Express preferred
- Thorough knowledge of office and secretarial procedures
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on projects independently
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with attention to detail
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced environment with a hard‑working, dedicated team
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work collaboratively
- Provide administrative support to the Academic Success Office, Career Development Office, and Student Life Office
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with Baylor University policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks and administrative support as assigned
- Serve as a secondary point of coverage for the front desk
- Foster a welcoming environment by greeting Student Success Center guests and promptly directing inquiries to the appropriate departments
- Assist with managing logistics of the Academic Success Office, Career Development Office, and Student Life events
- Assist with managing logistics for Professional Development and Student Success Center programs, including promoting events, creating graphics, updating the website, corresponding with speakers, reimbursing speaker expenses, managing student reservations, reserving meeting rooms, arranging catering, reserving audio/visual equipment, room set up and break down, managing kiosk system to record student attendance, uploading accurate student attendance records in Banner, and collecting and compiling speaker evaluations
- Post jobs, schedule interviews, and manage data in the Career Development Office online job bank and contact management system
- Assist with creating and maintaining databases, creating reports, assisting with data analysis, identifying data trends, and making suggestions based on data analysis
- Maintain inventory of office supplies
- Initiate maintenance of office equipment and facilities as needed
- Maintain follow‑up system on pending projects and reports
- Submit work orders for the Student Success Center
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
