What We Are Looking For
The Office Manager for the Office of Student Success & Engagement oversees daily administrative and operational functions to ensure the office runs efficiently and effectively. This role manages budget processes, payroll, procurement, and travel coordination, while also supervising and supporting student workers. The Office Manager serves as a key operational partner, maintaining organized systems, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, and providing high-level support that advances the office’s mission to promote student success and engagement.
A high school diploma and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do- Manage and monitor departmental and program budgets to ensure accurate tracking and responsible use of funds.
- Process reimbursements, purchase requests, and financial transactions through Ignite in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Oversee procurement activities, including purchasing goods and services, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to university procurement guidelines.
- Assist with financial reporting by compiling data, reconciling accounts, and providing updates to leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee all aspects of student employment for the Office of Student Success & Engagement, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and some supervision.
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and professionalism across tutoring, supplemental instruction, mentoring, and other student support services.
- Provide ongoing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities to student employees to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process reimbursements for staff in accordance with university policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel guidelines to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Facilitate group travel logistics when needed, ensuring smooth coordination of itineraries and documentation.
- Support the day-to-day administrative operations across Academic Support, Student Support, and Grant and Sponsored Programs.
- Maintain organized systems, respond to operational needs, and ensure smooth coordination of office functions.
- Attend and contribute to meetings related to budget, payroll, procurement, and other operational priorities to support effective communication and alignment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with university policies.
