Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network is a community health facility in Central Texas that provides services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders. We serve the counties of McLennan, Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, and Limestone.

The Human Resources Department is seeking an Administrative Professional. Under the supervision of the Director of HR, the role involves providing essential administrative support to the HR department while handling clerical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will take initiative, multitask, remain organized, meet timelines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage sensitive information with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, verify, and organize required employee documentation received from current, new, and terminated employees.
  • Accurately scan and upload documents into an electronic HRIS system, maintaining organized and secure digital records.
  • Alphabetize, sort, and file all incoming documentation into personnel records.
  • Ensure all employee files contain mandatory documents, validating completeness and compliance with internal policies.
  • Regularly audit files to ensure ongoing compliance and proper retention of all required materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee information throughout the file management process.
  • Assist with document retention practices, ensuring files are archived or disposed of according to retention schedules and legal requirements.
  • Track driver’s license, professional license, and TB screen and other certification expirations for employees to ensure timely renewals.
  • Process departmental purchase orders and vouchers.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to support audits, reporting, and other compliance‑related activities.
  • Support general HR functions, including managing incoming mail and packages, monitoring office inventory, and ordering departmental supplies.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of administrative professional experience, preferably in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Prior experience in HR, clerical, or administrative support preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and other computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems such as DATIS, Paycom, Kronos, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of scanning and uploading documents.
  • Experience creating and working with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge and understanding of accounting principles for processing invoices and payments.
  • Alphabetize, sort, and file documents.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Hours

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Salary

Hourly $15.00 / Annual $31,200.00.
