Purpose:
Ensure efficient operation of the school's enrollment of students according to the guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency and the administration of Waco Independent School District and maintain accurate PEIMS records for the campus.
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED, college preferred

Experience: Two years data entry experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties- Collect and enter PEIMS data into the established database and verify accuracy of data according to established procedures. Prepare and print reports, according to the processes and procedures outlined in the District PEIMS Manual.
- Maintain an organized and effective filing and records system, including student cumulative folders.
- Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
- Register new students and verify attendance eligibility by validating all documents according to district, state, and federal guidelines.
- Withdraw students using correct withdrawal codes and creating, printing, and disseminating appropriate documents.
- Work with staff and administration to post and/or reconcile IPR and report card data.
- Run IPRs and report cards in a timely manner by following the calendar outlined by the district.
- Enter staff responsibilities data according to the process and procedures outlined by the district PEIMS Staff.
- Act as Campus Records Liaison Officer by being responsible for developing records, storing records, disposing of obsolete records, and other records management functions necessary for compliance.
- Provide basic training to campus staff on attendance protocol and attendance‑taking procedures.
- Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding PEIMS information, including student attendance and/or discipline.
- Work with district PEIMS staff to reconcile errors in the Student Personal Identification Database.
- Process and transmit requests for student information using TREx systems according to the regulations (within ten days) set forth by the Texas Education Agency.
- Upon receipt of TREx information, disseminate it to the appropriate staff within five days.
- Receive, maintain and deliver cumulative folder to/from feeder pattern schools and for students who move to another school within the district in a timely manner.
- Use a positive approach in all customer service transactions.
- Work directly with staff responsible for student attendance and truancy responsibilities by providing data and reports as requested.
- Verify all data completed by the "back‑up" staff members in the absence of the PEIMS clerk.
- Attend all training sessions set forth by the district PEIMS staff.
- Report on a regular basis, all PEIMS‑related information to campus administrators.
- Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner.
- Meet all deadlines when completing tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality so that data remains secure and is not for public viewing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
