Primary Purpose: Ensure efficient operation of campus administrative office and provide services for middle school's administrative staff.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma, college preferred Advanced secretarial and computer training, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of computer and software applications Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch) Proficient skills in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience Two to three years in secretary position, preferably in an educational environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Equipment used: Macintosh and Dell computers, updated software, typewriter, printer, calculator, copier, shredder, and fax machine.
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress, hectic pace, and work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Working in office environment and with diverse community groups.
