Ensure efficient operation of school counselor’s office and provide clerical services for middle school and high school counseling department.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient word processing and file maintenance skills.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with PEIMS preferred.

One to three years secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment.

• Assist with student records, transcripts and student/parent contact information.
• Assist with disseminating scholarship opportunities to students and parents.
• Assist with dual credit matters.
• Assist in preparation of testing materials for testing throughout the school year.
• Assist counselor with general daily operations (meetings, calls, scheduling).
• Assist in ordering supplies and managing budgets for the MS/HS counseling dept.
• Assist with daily operations that fall under the MS/HS counseling dept.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
