Baylor University Office Manager
Baylor University is seeking an Office Manager that will directly support the Administrative Manager and Assistant to the Vice Provost for Research, as well as day-to-day operations of the unit. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and have strong skills in organization, time-management, and communication. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent follow-through, and work well in a team environment.
A high school diploma and three years of relevant work experience are required. An Associate's degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do:
- Provide administrative support to OVPR Senior Leadership
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
- Receive, review, prioritize, and distribute communications on behalf of leadership
- Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community
- Maintain discretion and the highest professional standards while working with confidential information
- Partner with other department leaders, the Business Office and key campus contacts as needed
- Assist with daily office management functions to support efficient operations
- Monitor and coordinate supply orders related to equipment and facilities
- Maintain physical and digital records in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Provide organizational assistance to OVPR core facilities that includes verifying and distributing data with end users for intercompany payments
- Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating departmental events, meetings, and special projects
- Manage logistics, scheduling, communications, and related administrative support activities
- Collaborate with Baylor's marketing and communication team to:
- Update, maintain, and monitor department websites to ensure content is accurate and current
- Coordinate the development and distribution of monthly departmental newsletters, including content collection, editing, formatting, and scheduling
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
