April 2014 Primary Purpose: Ensure efficient operation of the school's PEIMS processes and procedures according to the guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency and the administration of Waco Independent School District.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of PEIMS processes and procedures Computer, communication and organizational skills
Experience: Two years of prior experience as a PEIMS clerk/specialist or registrar or a minimum of three years of secretarial experience, preferably in the public education setting
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform registration and withdrawal procedures, including leaver documentation, of all students as assigned.
- Process student records, set up cumulative folders and enter student data into appropriate databases as assigned.
- Prepare and furnish student records upon request, including information for colleges and universities as assigned.
- Work with counselors in all matters related to the academic records of students.
- Attend all district PEIMS training sessions relevant to current job responsibilities and disseminates information to appropriate campus staff.
- Verify, file and maintain district reports, including PEIMS reports and file/store according to district and state policies.
- Enter, validate and correct campus-level PEIMS information through the use of edits, email/faxed requests, PEIMS reports and on-campus verification/audit checks.
- Help to maintain the Academic Achievement Record (AAR) for all students as assigned according to district and state guidelines, including the timelines established.
- Maintains student cumulative folders as assigned by including the necessary documentation, including testing labels and other information on the C-13 card, as stated in the district and state guidelines.
- Respond to all correspondence from local or state agencies regarding requested student information.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Administrative office environment, high pressure, fast pace, multiple deadlines, people intensive, multiple concurrent projects, and extended hours when warranted. Frequent use of computer, fax, phone, scanner, and other electronic equipment.
