Key Components:

This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only.

* In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.

* Support the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA, while performing the duties listed below.

* Coordination/implementation of ALL accurate and timely communications/social media content updates with Camp Leadership for all Camp programs

* Actively and enthusiastically solicit input from Camp staff through conscientious and proactive interaction to ensure timely, quality, and impactful communications which result in program and Camp goals being met

* Coordinates the creation of Camp communications and calendars with Camp leadership for the development of all Camp programs

* Aligns digital content with the YMCA's marketing and communications strategies and develops related web content and email initiatives with a direct impact on Camp programs and registration

* Compiles reports and provides regular updates to Camp leadership on the progress of strategic plans

Job Description:

* Work with local organization(s) or community partners

* Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University

* May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs

* May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects

* May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners

* May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)

* May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community

* Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information

* May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting

* Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission

* Ability to comply with University policies

* Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications:

* Strong organizational skills and effective time management skills; effectively manage multiple projects with deadlines in an efficient manner

* Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused and timely manner; proactively addressing issues as they arise

* Experience working independently and following directions, with minimal supervision

* Independent self-starter with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources and make appropriate decisions

* Ability to remain composed under stress and take responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational goals and commitments

* Proficient in MS Office, desktop publishing software, Daxko Engage, Marq, Facebook, Instagram

* Working knowledge of Word Press with an understanding of HTML/CSS

* Knowledge of how to prep artwork for both web and social media purposes
