Project Engineer-Heavy Civil Construction

IOC Company a dynamic road and highway construction company is seeking a Project Engineer for our Rio Grande Valley Operation

• Assist in the planning, estimating, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects
• Coordinate all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications
• On‑Site Project Management
• Project Coordination & Project Controls
• Construction Billings, Cost tracking for sequential costing to include Job Cost Analysis
• Project Schedule Adherence; developing, managing & enforcing construction schedule
• Maintaining records and logs
• Communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and owners
• Completing RFQ and bid packages
• Developing and following a two‑week look‑ahead schedule
• Participating in subcontractor and owner meetings
• Preparation and delivery of close‑out and owner’s manuals

• Must have a 4‑year degree, or 5 years of related field experience preferred
• Poses a valid driver’s license
• Ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a fast‑pace environment
• Able to work beyond normal business hours when needed, including weekends
• Superior communication and organizational development skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and manage cross‑functional teams
• Experience with MS Office, Primavera Scheduling P6 and HCSS Heavy Job (preferred), triple business center, Trimble survey equipment, machine control, propeller‑a PLUS
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)
