Site Superintendent

Brunel is currently working on a role for a general contractor for a new data center in the Waco Area. They are looking for this person to start on a initial one year contract with potential to extend. Per diem will be offered for non local candidates.

The Site Superintendent (Civil Focus) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all civil construction activities for a large-scale data center project. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and owner expectations. The Superintendent will oversee sitework operations including earthwork, underground utilities, grading, paving, stormwater systems, concrete, and coordination with structural, MEP, and commissioning teams.

The ideal candidate has strong field leadership experience in heavy civil and mission-critical construction environments and excels in managing subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality in fast-paced projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Field Operations

• Direct and supervise daily civil construction activities on-site.
• Coordinate field operations with project management, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and owner representatives.
• Lead field execution for:
• Earthwork and grading
• Excavation and trenching
• Storm drainage systems
• Concrete foundations and flatwork
• Site paving and exterior improvements
• Erosion and sediment control
• Ensure construction activities comply with plans, specifications, permits, and applicable codes.
• Develop and maintain short-interval schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts and constructability issues.
