We are seeking a motivated Construction Laborer to join our team in Waco, TX
. This position supports a variety of heavy civil construction projects by assisting field crews with site preparation, material handling, and general construction activities.
- Assist with site preparation and cleanup to help maintain an organized work environment.
- Perform excavation support tasks, including digging trenches, pits, and foundations as directed.
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Remove debris and excess materials from work areas.
- Assist equipment operators and skilled trades as needed to support daily project activities.
- Operate hand tools and small equipment in accordance with project requirements.
- Participate in daily crew meetings and follow direction from supervisors and project leadership.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Work collaboratively with team members to help meet project schedules and production goals.
- Follow company procedures and established job site practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while following supervisor direction.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous construction, landscaping, utility, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in heavy civil construction is a plus.
