Position: CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS ANALYST

Overview

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for processing new customer credit applications and making changes to existing customer files as requisitions along with other duties listed below. This position will also provide support to business units and various departments across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Process and/or review customer credit applications and make recommendations for to Senior Credit Manager.
  • Sets up COD accounts as requested.
  • Research and resolve customer inquiries/disputes as requested by customer and follow up until resolved.
  • Answers incoming customer service calls and works with customer to satisfy their needs.
  • Record detailed conversations with customer/departments on customer comment screens.
  • Research new addresses, phone numbers, etc. on internet as a result of returned mail.
  • Some clerical duties to include responding to customer inquiries, filing, etc.
  • Responds to customer credit reference requests.
  • Prepares check requests for refunds as requested.
  • Cross trained to follow up on return checks.
  • Research cash receipts for cashiers when there is no clear direction on where to post payment. Contacts customer for that information and applies payment as requested.
  • Sends out monthly statements as requested by customer.
  • Maintains changes to customer card on Equip Soft and makes changes as required.
  • Open and distribute all Credit Department mail.
  • Prepares courtesy letters each month for rental customers.
  • Processes all customer insurance policies and updates Equip Soft accordingly.
  • Report to Senior Credit Manager and perform other duties as requested.
  • Review and grant internal credit authorizations as requested.
Qualifications
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma required;
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience: 2+ years of credit/customer service

Computer

Skills:

Strong computer skills in the operation of all programs used by the organization including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Applications

Work Environment

Work environment varies from office to job site to industrial locations
