Gatehouse Attendant – Waco Lake Parks (Waco, TX)
Company: D2 Government Solutions, Inc.
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Holiday work required when falling on scheduled days)
Location: Waco Lake (Airport Park, Midway Park, Speegleville Park)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for park visitors; provide information on park rules, maps, and amenities in a courteous and professional manner
- Process recreation fees and reservations using designated systems (e.g., Recreation One Stop (R1S) and pay station workflows)
- Maintain accurate records of campground activity, including arrivals, departures, cancellations, and no-shows
- Safeguard transaction documentation and controlled items (passes, receipt logs, etc.) in accordance with fee security procedures
- Maintain daily logs and reports, including incident/complaint logs and work order notifications
- Prepare weekly financial summaries and deposit documentation with supporting records
- Keep the gatehouse and surrounding area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Wear required uniform/identification and comply with all access control and security training requirements
- Prior customer service experience in a public-facing environment (e.g., retail, hospitality, visitor services, front desk, or call center)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to enforce rules professionally and de-escalate routine situations
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, and system navigation); ability to learn reservation and fee-processing systems
- Ability to work the assigned Thursday–Sunday schedule and federal holidays as required
- Must meet federal installation access requirements, including background screening and required training
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards

- CAC Card: Not required
- U.S. Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
