STV currently is seeking an Architectural Designer out of our Waco, TX office for our Water division. The ideal candidate will have experience working with architectural and engineering teams to prepare documents for both new construction and renovation projects, including building projects and architectural features within water/wastewater treatment plants, heavy civil, municipal, private sector, and environmental facilities.
Responsibilities- Assist with architectural design work from concept design through construction documentation for projects requiring interface and collaboration.
- Prepare architectural drawings and supervise their execution for all phases of a project.
- Execute code analysis, material selections, and coordinate with the specifications writer.
- Conduct site and construction inspections for information‑gathering purposes and prepare design reports.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage, and assist the work of lower‑level architects.
- Develop design details, plans, and specifications.
- Contribute new designs or techniques of material significance in solving important problems.
- Perform independent investigations, studies, and architectural analysis.
- Determine collectively with project management the technical approach and design criteria for projects.
- Ensure conformance with standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction.
- Professional Degree in Architecture.
- Proficiency with ACC/BIM 360, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Enscape, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, Lumion, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (plus).
- Excellent design capabilities and strong verbal and visual communication skills.
- Strong capacity for generating technical details that are constructible.
- Progress toward Architectural licensure (desirable).
Range: $71,981.92 – $82,265.06
