Position Overview
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated, Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our clinic in Bellmead, located just 15 minutes from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a fast‑paced, walk‑in clinic setting focused on treating minor injuries and illnesses with speed, efficiency, and compassion.
AboutThe Role
As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide same‑day treatment for minor illnesses and injuries in an outpatient setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes advanced practice providers, medical assistants, on‑site lab/phlebotomy and X‑ray technicians, and pharmacy support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide acute care services for minor illnesses and injuries on a walk‑in basis
- Deliver efficient, evidence‑based care with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers
- Coordinate with other providers in the system for referrals and follow‑ups
- Participate in shared call responsibilities, triaged through a nurse line
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical standards
- Walk‑in clinic open evenings and weekends
- On‑site X‑ray, phlebotomy, and pharmacy
- No obstetrics; general family medicine procedures only
- Shared call coverage with nurse triage support
- 1.0 FTE with ½ day of weekly administrative time
- Just 15 minutes from Baylor University and downtown Waco
